Why I do this

I coach the people I was once responsible for helping and could not always reach: undergraduates and early career professionals figuring out how work actually works.

I serve as Senior Career Prep Coach at Management Leadership for Tomorrow, where I coach individuals and groups across a national cohort. I have coached more than 500 undergraduates and early career professionals through search, interview, and offer negotiation. This population is my sweet spot.

Earlier I held consulting and management positions at Harlem Children's Zone, Ashoka, and Accenture. With over 15 years of collective experience across consulting, recruiting, management, and career coaching, I provide my clients with an insider perspective. You aren't just getting theoretical advice; you are getting the playbook from someone who has sat on the other side of the hiring table.

I hold an Ed.M. from the Harvard Graduate School of Education and a B.S. in Accounting from the University of Maryland. I am a Certified Laser Agility Coach and a candidate for International Coaching Federation credentialing.

Crucially, I bring current fluency in what this market actually rewards, including how to use AI well. I help clients move past basic prompting, showing them how to strategically leverage AI to accelerate their job search and become highly profitable once they are hired.

I am also a parent. That shapes how I think about this work.

In the press

NBA.com, covering the NBA Foundation's HBCU Fellowship, credited my coaching in a fellow's preparation for the program. The advice was specific: research both the organization and the people behind it. That is the kind of unwritten guidance this work is built on.

The unwritten part of the search

Most people I coach are prepared. What they are missing is the unwritten part: what a recruiter reads in six seconds, what a firm is actually screening for in a case, what to say in a networking conversation, how to talk about money without flinching.

None of that is taught in a lecture hall. It is passed down. If it was not passed down to you, you are not behind. You are under-informed, and that is fixable.

Job searches stall when candidates rely on generic advice or massive application volume. The anxiety of being repeatedly ghosted, the awkwardness of networking without a script, and the fear of a failed career pivot cannot be solved by simply hitting "Apply" 100 times. Sustainable progress comes from understanding how hiring decisions are evaluated behind closed doors.

When you align your preparation with what decision-makers evaluate, confidence replaces anxiety. The goal is not just landing an offer: it is building navigation skills you will use for the rest of your career.

Where is your search stalling?

If you're in the search:

  • "I've applied to over a hundred roles and gotten a handful of rejections and a lot of silence."
  • "My resume looks fine to me, but I don't know what a recruiter sees in six seconds."
  • "I can do the work. I just fall apart when they ask me to walk them through my thinking."
  • "Everyone says to network. No one has told me what to actually say."

If you're a parent trying to help:

  • "My network is the one thing I actually have to give her, and I don't know how to hand it over."
  • "It's been eight months. He's still applying, still hearing nothing, and I lie awake trying to figure out what we're missing."
  • "We don't say the word 'job' in this house anymore."

If any of this sounds familiar, let's talk.

How this approach is different

Human feedback, not AI.

Mock interviews with a real coach who tells you what actually landed and what did not. Real-time critique on tone, structure, and answer delivery.

Built for where you are.

A first internship and a first pivot are different problems. The plan reflects that, matching your exact timeline, target sector, and baseline experience.

Credentialed and accountable.

ICF-track coaching methodology, not improvised advice. Structured session milestones keep your search active and forward-moving.
